Summer Internship Program
As a newly established law firm, we are committed to nurturing young talent and providing opportunities in the legal industry. In our first year, we invested in four aspiring legal professionals, each in different stages of their career, through our immersive summer internship program.
Participants in our internship program are duly engaged in an array of activities that afford them an immersive glimpse into the everyday life of a solicitor. This encompasses tasks such as drafting agreements, creating templates, and preparing correspondence that pertain to our ongoing matters spanning various practice domains, including but not limited to litigious, corporate, and commercial sectors. Additionally, the interns shoulder the responsibilities of organizing files and updating the system with new leads and the progress in ongoing matters. These activities not only build confidence within the interns as they navigate unfamiliar terrain, but they also serve as an impetus for enhancing commercial awareness, research skills and professional writing mastery.
Another fundamental facet of the program is the constructive one-to-one sessions with seasoned solicitor and Managing Director, Adam Creasey. These sessions provide a forum for comprehensive evaluation of the tasks executed by the interns throughout the week and any queries pertaining to their assignments. This dynamic ensures that the interns receive a rich and productive learning experience.
Furthermore, the program presents interns with the unique opportunity to author insightful blog posts on the legal and topical issues inherent to the matters under their purview. This augment of the program enables a more profound comprehension of important legal subject areas, whilst affording interns with the platform to showcase their innovation- an attribute that deeply resonates with one of our firm’s core values.
In addition to the vast opportunities available through our program, interns at AdamBenedict may have the privilege of attending court proceedings, where they can observe the presentation of one of our resident barristers. Apart from providing an exciting day out of the office for the interns, this experience allows them to gain a holistic understanding of the multifaceted functions of both solicitors and barristers within the judicial sphere.
